A Voice from the Past

This week I received a call from a man that I met in Tuscon Arizona at a World War 2 veteran reunion. I was there with the Liberty Foundation that flies a rare B-17 bomber from that era. I met many great guys... all heroes in my book. They just don't make men like this any more.

Sam Robertson told me some harrowing stories of his 18 missions bombing Germany in the closing days of the war. He and his crew had some close calls including a run in with one of those little German rocket planes ("What the HELL was that!!!"), very concentrated flak over Berlin and a damaged ball turret that trapped him for hours. It was an honor and a privilege to talk to him. I made a video from showing the WW2 veterans that I met during 2007.
